The builder of the knitting mill in Heulosthalin 1897 was the Viennese company S. Heit & Co. Its partner in Jihlava was Emil Seidner (1865–1934) who ran the company under the name E. Seidner & Co. after 1912. The company produced stockings, socks, gloves, and children's goods, exported to Europe, America, and Australia and employed 400 workers by 1929. The longitudinal three-storey building with a flat roof was designed symmetrically with a distinctive transverse staircase wing, a boiler room, and an engine room attached on the south side and a detached administrative building and a gatehouse, which is the only one to this day to retain remnants of the rather demanding historicist architectural structure. The renovation of the building carried out by the national enterprise Modeta in 1964 took its toll. In 2016, it was purchased by the Municipal Authority, which also commissioned a study of its new use in 2019.
